Maths in Chestnut Class

We have been so busy this term learning about number and place value. We are becoming very confident when understanding how to partition numbers into tens and ones using numicon, tens sticks and cubes and money. We have been ordering and comparing  numbers to 100, adding 1 more and 1 less. We are now moving onto counting in 2s 5s and 10s and addition.

If you would like to support our learning at home then you can use 10ps and 1ps to help us count and write numbers to 100. This will help us when we start to add two 2-digit numbers together. In addition to this we would like to practise counting forward and backwards in 2s 5s 10s and 3s at home.
