On October 6th, perhaps 1941, Oak Class were evacuated to the Gloucestershire countryside to keep them safe during WWII.

We experienced the trip on the steam train, met our new headmistress, witnessed artefacts and experienced an air raid where we were nearly hit by a Doodlebug!
