Mock Trials Competition
Arson (Criminal Damage by Fire)
Willow class busily prepared the prosecution case for the case of R v Taylor Martin and Reece Castle. The defendants were accused of setting fire to a wheelie bin outside Jones' newsagent, Ampney Street, Cirencester. Stone's prosecution team were able to prove, beyond reasonable doubt, that these two were the two teenagers who set the bin alight.
They used police statements from three prosecution witnesses on which to base the prosecution's case. Thorough preparation and confident and credible arguments secured Stone's victory on the day and they also proudly won the small school's competition overall.
