Week 12
Hello everyone!
This week we will be using our new class book to complete our English tasks as well as padlet challenges. We will be thinking about Money in maths and in the afternoons we will be doing a business project!
This week's work.
We will do a class Zoom call at 11, all together! Please make sure you are up to date on the chapters and do your best to attend as we will be doing a quick book quiz and setting our writing task for Friday after doing some book talk all together. Please try and sit somewhere quiet so we don't interupt one another with any extra noise!
Again, I will be in school Monday - Thursday supporting the keyworkers so I will try my best to respond to emails but it will be difficult. I have spent the weekend catching up with everyones work and I've been so impressed!
If you do have questions, send me an email and I will do my best to reply as quickly as I can to you.

Your own Smoothie business!
This week I am challenging you to create your own smoothie business! You will need to design your products, create your business designs for flyers, adverts and cups! I'm excited to see what you've come up with!
Day of the week |
Task |
Monday |
Use the Fruit costs sheet and the smoothie plan sheets to come up with your own smoothie flavours. You need to cost up how much each smoothie would cost to make at the end! |
Tuesday |
Naming your product and your business! You could do some research into different names for smoothies, have a look at their names, the colours they use. Your challenge today is to come up with a name for your smoothie business and a name for each of your smoothie drinks. Create the menu that would be on display at your smoothie bar to give your customers the details. Don't forget to include the price! |
Wednesday |
Design your cups! Each of your smoothies needs its own cup design. Think about the colour of each one, having the name of the smoothie and showing off the ingredients in it. You might choose to use words or pictures of the ingredients. You could some research to see how others have done it: innocent smoothie, organics smoothies, medlie smoothies |
Thursday |
Design a poster to advertise your business! Make it colourful but clear so people can recognise what you are advertising and the products they can get. |
Friday |
Today is about trying to bring your business to life. Ask your parents if you can have a go at creating one of your smoothies with the ingredients. Ask your family to order different combinations of smoothies today. Tell them the price and figure out the change you would have to give if they paid with £5, £10 or £20 notes. |
I am really excited to see your creations so if you have a chance to make them I would love a photo!
