Week Commencing 30th March
Welcome to the second week of home learning tasks.
On last weeks page there are two utube stories which Ms Liddell has made if you fancy a listen. Press the link and it should work. I will venture into chapter books very soon. Please subscribe and comment so I know that you have listened.
Reading - Please try to read every day still. I am still waiting for the BugClub sign in details for each child. The children have been shown how to use this in school, so once we receive their logins, I will pass these on to you all. In the mean time, the children can read books in their correct book band (colour) on the following site: https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/for-home/find-a-book/library-page/. You will need to change the level to their book band.
English - Similar to last week, please write 5 sentences each day about the photo. Details below.
Maths - The files from last week should still be keeping you busy. There are some arithmetic pages below for Yr1 and Yr2 called 'fluent in 5'. https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button is a great online game. Yr1 can play number facts. Yr2 can play times tables and division facts.
Phonics - https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/ has lots of fun online games and is free to login. There are some paper activities below for Yr2, if you do not have the option to access games online. Yr1s can continue with their phonics pack that came home.
Topic - Please continue with your Romans projects we sent home last week.
D&T - Please evaluate your homemade pizzas. There is an evaluation template below for you to use if you'd like. If you'd like to email a photo of your pizza, we'd love to see! firstname.lastname@example.org
Science - Please continue with the healthy eating and Spring work sent home last week.
Computing - Continue with Scratch Jr. There is a new activity sheet below.
Over the Easter break if you create an Easter bonnet please take a photo a share it with us. Ms Liddell will definitely post ones that her family will be making.
Also, in the next few days check out Chestnut's normal year group pages for our trip and coding photos.
